Meet Kevin Mbugua aka Kevzta – The Kenyan born entertainer, passionate about sharing knowledge through his art

Kevin Mbugua known by his stage name Kevzta, is a writer, singer, dancer, and choreographer. Kevzta is not an unfamiliar face in the entertainment industry. He began his career as a hip-hop dancer in the Oslo music scene. Kevzta quickly rose as a young and aspiring talent and established a name for himself amongst his peers. This enabled him to work and preform with artists such as Mira Craig, Stella Mwangi, Madcon and Karpe Diem to mention few. In addition to his dancing Kevzta started experimenting with his artistic soul as a member of the group Moving Thoughts with Mimmi Tamba and Sarah Osmundsen. Moving thoughts self-composed repertoire could best be described as slam-poetry with a hint of musical splash.

His latest project has been collaboration with the world known duo Nico & Vinz. Kevzta has taken on the responsibility to choreograph the performance of the dancers as well as the artist them self’s. Kevzta has long list of experience under his belt form festivals such as Hove, Slottsfjell, Øya and Mela-festival. Furthermore he has several dance, song and theatre stage performances. His dedication and talent has given him widespread prominence and enabled him to perform at prestigious events such as X-factor finals in Telenor arena, Spellmansprisen and Nobel Peace Concert. Furthermore his raw talent has also graced esteemed stages such as Rockerfeller, Spiker Box, Sentrum Scene and the Opera.

Today Kevzta is further expanding his repertoire by reinventing himself as a singer, song and poetry writer. His material is characterised by his conscious engagement in humanity and social issues. His music seeks to become a genuine positive source of inspiration. With professional musicians Most Wanted and well experienced producers from 5 start entertainment he is now working on his newest material which is due to be released spring 2015.
