Something for every dad on DStv

This Father’s Day (Sunday 18 June), show your appreciation for your dad by handing over the TV remote and letting him enjoy the variety of entertainment available on DStv. And remember, dads who are always on the go can download the DStv Now app and enjoy quality programming anytime, anywhere.

For the dad who considers himself a comedian (and could afford to polish up on his dad jokes):

Those who like a bit of old-school comedy can enjoy the best of the much-loved Seinfeld, weeknights at 18:30 on Comedy Central. The whole family can tune into Daddy’s Home on M-Net Movies Smile at 18:22 (M-Net Movies Smile is also available on DStv Now), or revisit the antics of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 3 at 20:00 on DStv’s newest martial arts-focused pop-up channel, M-Net Movies Blackbelt on Sunday 18 June.

For the dad who is an undercover kitchen connoisseur:

For a bit of armchair cuisine adventure, dads can tune in to Rick Stein’s Long Weekendson Thursdays at 20:00 on BBC Lifestyle. Also, tune into Private Chef on Thursday 15 June at 21:00 on Food Network to see Neil Anthony work his magic for celebs.

For the adventurous dad:

Dads who are enthusiastic about pushing their limits will enjoy Running Wild with Bear Grylls on Discovery Channel at 21:00 on Tuesday 25 June, and Crocodile Dundee on Comedy Central at 19:40 on Friday 16 June.

For the dad who is a mystery enthusiast:

The award-winning crime drama Broadchurch(Tuesdays at 22:30 on M-Net) is available on Catch Up for a whodunit fix.

For the sports fanatic:

DStv offers plenty of quality programming for dads who are well-meaning armchair coaches. This June, dads can tune in to the US Open live on SuperSport 1 from Thursday 15 June at 19:00. Fans of Formula One can tune into the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday 25 June at 13:30 on SuperSport 6 HD. The Fifa Confederations Cup 2017 kicks off on Saturday 17 June at 16:45 on SuperSport 3. With these SuperSport channels available on DStv Now, dad can stay on top of all the latest highlights.

With the variety of entertainment DStv has to offer, dad is sure to enjoy his well-deserved break this June.
