Mara Models Agency debuts with free workshop for aspiring models
The coolest and latest modelling outfit in town, Mara Models Agency teamed up withYetunde Ayeni Babaeko’s Camara Studios to provide a free workshop for aspiring models in Lagos last Saturday, 29 July 2017.
Launched in January 2017, the MMA team features a dynamic team drawn from the world of photography and advertising with decades of experience.
Held at the Camara Studios, the event which served as an official launch and open house gave those in attendance a bird’s eye view of making it in the cutthroat industry of modelling.
Mr. George Udeze from Mara Models Agency introduced the company to the guests. He explained that unlike other modelling agencies, MMA stood out because it had the state-of-the-art facilities and skilled manpower to groom and prepare their models for an international career.
He also spoke about the close affiliation of the agency to established photographers as a major advantage as their models would be able to gain experience leading to regular jobs.
Also speaking at the event was Ms. Obaye Ekenimoh from Aramide Falade & Co. She shared legal tips and pitfalls to avoid when signing a modelling contract. The interactive session allowed for the models present to have their questions answered by both Mr. Eze on signing up to MMA and Ms. Ekenimoh on legal rights.
Grace, a catwalk specialist worked with participants on their modelling in particular the runway walks and poses. This was complemented with another hands-on session led by ace photographer, Yetunde Ayeni Babaeko who showed the models how to work the camera paying attention to facial expressions and body movements.
