AUDIO: James Owusu – Hallelujah

Singing in praise to the Most High, James Owusu asks God to make his wishes come true. Barely does the industry encounter such a powerful voice sing to the glory of the Almighty, but the singer takes it to a whole new level. ‘Hallelujah’ is the type of song which critics will rate high in respect to its production quality and spirit-filled feel.

Speaking about what the song means to him via a phone call, James retorted, ”God has been very gracious to the Owusu family and thus ‘Hallelujah’ is my thanksgiving offering to God”. Singing mostly in the Twi dialect on the record, James Owusu goes on to promise he and his household’s dedication to worship in honour of God.

James Owusu started as a church drummer. His early drumming YouTube video’s caught the attention of many people including Stephen Asamoah-Duah of the Compozers band. He inspired numerous young drummers both in USA and Ghana. James Owusu fulfilled his passion of singing during his university days and he’s been at it for over seven years now. His debut gospel concert dubbed ”My Testimony” featured the likes of Evangelist Min. John Sena, Min. Christian Gyamfi and it turned out to be a successful event. His recent concert, ”God First” was held last year and it featured various gospel ministers in the USA. It was headlined by himself and his twin sister, Lady Jay the Worshipper of ‘Jesus is my Boo’ featuring Ghanaian US based multi-talented producer, rapper and songwriter, C Burn.

James draws inspiration from various Gospel ministers all over the world like Benjamin Dube from South Africa, Nathaniel Bassey (Nigeria) Dr Sonnie Badu (Ghana) and many others.
