#BBNaija Season 4 Day 72: Team White campaigned their way into a “Touching Lives” win

The Contest

Aimed at offering practical relief, hope and platforms to empower the underprivileged in the society, the Pepper Dem Gang were challenged to an inspiring corporate social responsibility.

To support this noble initiative, the House was tasked to create a special campaign for the provision of affordable health care for the average Nigerian. For this reason, they were divided into two teams – red and white.

The Campaign

Each team was given five minutes to present their talk on the subject – a campaign for the provision of affordable healthcare to the average Nigerian.

With team red kicking off this phase, Ike, Tacha, Elozonam, Seyi, Diane and Omashola gave a five-minute presentation as they campaigned for “Health Care For All” – where they each gave reasons why health care should be accessible to the average Nigerian.

Next up was the white team, consisting of Cindy, Mercy Mike, Frodd and Khafi –  starting off their campaign with a peaceful protest. “We no go gree o, we no go gree,” they all chanted, holding placards as they each gave their campaign speech on the importance of affordable healthcare for all. For them, “Beta healthcare, beta Nigeria”.

Both teams were to round up this session with a 30-second radio commercial. Unfortunately for team red, the buzzer went off before they got the opportunity to show off their jingle skills.

The Quick-fire Quiz 

With fifty questions to answer, each team got an opportunity to answer only twenty-five of those questions. In this round, the Pepper Dem Gang were asked general questions on the subject of the country’s current affairs.

Remember their thirst for doing something for charity in the Innoson challenge? Well, Biggie gave the Pepper Dem Gang the perfect opportunity to fulfil this dream. With a hundred thousand Naira up for grabs for each correctly answered question, the winning team’s reward will be donated in full to a government hospital.

Want to know another interesting fact? The donation will come in form of necessary supplies and the Housemates will get to partake in the actual donation once they are out of the Big Brother House. Amazing right?

An Opportunity To Touch Lives – For Team White

It was a big win for team white as they led the challenge with sixteen points as against team red with fourteen points. Biggie’s win announcement for team white was met with loud cheers and congratulatory messages from the opposing team. To end his announcement, Biggie also applauded team red for their contribution and efforts in the Task and in his words, “this challenge would not have been possible without you,” he added.

A big thank you to Airtel Nigeria for the opportunity given to team white as each question gotten rightly earned them a hundred thousand Naira for each question. What better way to touch lives than donating their win to a government hospital in Nigeria of their choice? Well done, team white! You all must be so proud.

We couldn’t help but notice the tension between Tacha and Seyi as they tried to work together in the same team. Should we expect a reunion soon or are we only going to get a moment with the due during Tasks alone? How awkward will the Saturday Night Parties be without a Seyi and Tacha moment? We’ll find out.
