AUDIO: SKN – RUMBA

SKN (pronounced /skin/), makes the perfect re-introduction with his first release since 2016, the euphoric ‘RUMBA’. which is out now with a colourful animated video accompaniment.

RUMBA was written and recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, because according to SKN, “It was important I went back home to get my soul back”. The influence from Nigeria is evident in the way the song seamlessly combines African sounds and contemporary musical innovation to create a sonic bop that gives one a ‘feel good’ vibe.

It is no surprise that SKN is inspired by Highlife musicians like Cardinal Rex Lawson, Magic System and Pat Thomas & The Kwashibu Area Band. 

The colourful accompanying video serves to further re-introduce an artist who must not be ignored.
