Meet Xavier Xabiso Mgidlana aka Guru. Born 25 years ago in a small town of Queenstown in Eastern Cape and came to Gauteng to make his life worth something and this is how far he has come and still growing.

Guru is a full time model, started his career in 2009 and went up the ranks. In 5 years time he pictures himself being South Africa’s role model, not just a model. Guru says it’s not just about him being Mr South Africa, but about reaching out to people.

COMMUNITY HERO:
So his whole life is based upon the entertainment industry, a man trying to make a mark, but he figured that he will not be the one who runs after flashlights, but help the community and that’s why Guru is now associated with Toys for Africa and Drug Free world, they go around South Africa to school and orphanages trying to send across a message. He’s their brand ambassador and face, so his line of work is all about developing the community.

Drug free world on www.drugfreeworld.org, is a huge organization and they are growing their South African branch and the South African Department of education has also come on board.

FITNESS COACH:
Guru is a fitness coach, with a passion for motivating people from all backgrounds to improve their lifestyle and health. Through his Facebook Page “Let’s Talk Gym”, he gives advice on workout programs, eating plans and where to train.
