In May of this year, we featured Sanusi Lagos an exclusive luxury streetwear brand with a women’s wear diffusion line called “Mrs Sanusi” bringing high quality urban clothing to Africa and beyond...

Founded by celebrity stylist Seyi Sanusi and UK based fashion designer Adesola Obebe the brand emerged in October 2013.

The aim of their collaboration is to bring high quality street wear to their hometown Lagos, Nigeria and the rest of the world.

Their second collection entitled ‘Royal Bloom’ is due for release mid July.

The brand’s main goal is to promote emerging creative talents and the new collection commissioned Graphic Artists Toby Emmanuel from Lagos, who infused exotic leaves and blooms with geometric hand drawn shapes, and Elizabeth Butrimova who created an abstract painting of her mother which was translated into wearable art in the form of a tee and bucket hat.

Alongside these strong vibrant printed t-shirts are sophisticated black and white linear designs, creating effortless tees, button down shirts and sweatpants to bring an element of relaxed evening wear for the Sanusi clientele.

The brand which is fast becoming popular with Nigerian celebrities and has been seen on artists such as Ice Prince, Davido, MI Abaga, Wizkid, Iyanya, Wande Coal, Yemi Alade, Anna Banner (MBGN 2013) etc.
