TRIP CITY VISUALS: THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, REEKADO BANKS

Lagos based photography team, Trip City Visuals led by Lanre Ayorinde present a short collection titled Rookie of the Year, featuring Mavin Records-signed artist, Reekado Banks, the winner of the Rookie of the Year category in the recently concluded edition of Nigeria’s foremost awards, the Headies.

“We had gotten the inspiration to do a shoot with Reekado Banks, shortly after he got selected as one of the finalists for the Rookie of the Year category at the Headies. We agreed that whether he won the award or not, he would definitely be very sought after come 2015, because of all the fresh talents unveiled in 2014, he stands out.” Lanre Ayodeji says.

This is clearly evident through top-notch singles by Reekado Banks such as Turn It Up and Chop Am, his enthralling hook on Dorobucci [arguably the biggest collaboration of 2014], songwriting prowess on Tiwa Savage’s My Darling and Pasuma’s Ife.

The collection is composed of photographs from his dance rehearsals and studio session with Mavin Records producer, Babyfresh.
