What made you venture into music?
Music has always been a part of me, from growing up listening to music at home to the activities that I do in the weekend, and I developed my own love for music. my pops will be playing obe, sunny Ade, Colinton, Fela Kuti, and when I’m with my mom she’s playing Baba Ara, Yinka Ayefele, Atorise, and my brother will be playing Plantation Boiz, Rugedman, all the old school baddos back then, oyeah and on Sunday I go to church and play the drums. When Nigerian music started getting bigger, I started paying attention to it, it looks like something I can do, so I hits up a random producer on FB that lives not too far from me (Jay Moh), we linked up downloaded a beat online, I voiced it and put it out. With the help of my status around NY, and my click FLMG , My music was heard, and colleges just started calling, from then on I know I can do this. Just kept on growing working hard and developing my craft. Making music is my passion.

2015 was a great year for you, winning the NEA Awards for Diaspora Artist of the Year and releasing “Bum Bum” ft Tekno, “Baddest Whine”, “Leave Story” some of your biggest singles yet. What motivated you to write them?
2015 was deff a dope year for me and big up NEA for the award man I never expected it so a big thanks to them.
Now let’s talk about leave story because a lot of people thought it was a diss, I wasn’t talking about anyone, it was a freestyle I did on my voice note when young thug dropped best friend so that song is just me expressing my versatility. BuBum ft Tekno was all vibes really, we came up with that song in 40 mins tops as in composed and recorded it in 40 mins, big ups Young D, he produced it.

Baddest whine is type funniest but true story thou. I met this babe, we both like each other, she’s on of the Good girls u know so she hold back on a lot of things ?, but I can see in her eyes she wanna play, but she’s trying to keep that good girl vibe going with me, I’ll push up on her she will curve me and later hold me on a cuddling P.

That’s how I came up with that pre hook on the track ” the girl say she wan do the man, so me tell her come thru me ah the baddest, her body so hot she need a fan, but she wan take it slow because of her mind, so me tell her slow down she say no, inside her body me wan go and so one. Listen to the track and u will get it more.
