Jimmy Fallon comes to Africa

Africa’s leading comedy channel, Comedy Central (122), has acquired the exclusive African TV broadcast rights to the hit US late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon from NBCUniversal International Distribution.

Starting Monday 5 June at 9pm WAT (weekdays), Comedy Central viewers will be treated to Fallon’s trademark humour and high-tempo energy, his welcoming interview style, love of audience participation, spot-on impersonations, celebrity guests and innovative sketches. The GRAMMY® Award-winning group The Roots serve as The Tonight Show’s house band.

Dillon Khan, Vice President, Comedy Central, Africa, commented: “We are delighted that Jimmy Fallon will be joining our stellar line-up as star of The Tonight Show, and thrilled to bring the show to our audiences within 24-hours of the US premiere to make life funnier.”

Comedy Central Africa is home to two of the most talked about and internationally recognised talk shows – The Daily Show with Trevor Noah (8:30pm WAT) and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (9pm WAT). Both shows air weekdays on DStv channel 122.
