SuperSport brings pre-season football action to DStv and GOtv
Wayne Rooney is expected to make his Everton debut in the unlikeliest of venues when The Toffees play Gor Mahia in Tanzania on Thursday, 13 July.
The prodigal son is due to make his return in Everton colours in the SportPesa Cup, which marks the beginning of an avalanche of off-season football that will be broadcast on SuperSport.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, among others, will all feature in an array of fixtures taking place across the world. One of these, on Saturday, 22 July, features Arsenal against Chelsea in Beijing, a replay of the FA Cup final and an aperitif for the Community Shield.
Five trophies in all will be chased in the weeks to come: the Premier League Asia Trophy, the Emirates Cup, the Audi Cup, the FA Community Shield and the UEFA Super Cup, being played on Tuesday, 8 August between Champions League winners Real Madrid and Europa kings Manchester United.
