SuperSport undergoes digital reboot

The World of Champions will undergo a digital reboot which will see the website and app spot a bright, fresh and modern new design that is pleasing on the eye.

In an effort to ease navigation across SuperSport’s digital platforms, the World of Champions will undergo a digital reboot which will see the website and app spot a bright, fresh and modern new design that is pleasing on the eye.

The reboot will also see major updates in the underlying technology that drives the digital platforms, stabilizing data and providing it faster than ever before.

“The current SuperSport product suite design has reached maturity the time is right for a reboot of our digital assets,” explained SuperSport’s Chief Executive, Gideon Khobane.

“As one of the companies at the cutting-edge of technology, we need to be constantly evolving and keeping pace with the latest developments and trends in order to maintain our place at the forefront of innovation.”

The refresh will be rolled out in phases starting with the mobile apps at the end of October soon to be followed by the website.

The new look will provide SuperSport an opportunity to create uniformity across the different platforms ensuring brand uniformity and clarity. With clarity comes simplicity; the new streamlined design ensures easy navigation for sport fans in their search for the best content without unnecessary distractions.

“To sum it all up, the reboot will allow us to do what we do best at the World of Champions, focus on providing our users with the best video content and up-to-date match data from the greatest sporting events and leagues across the globe. Anytime, anywhere, on any device,” concluded Khobane.

Meanwhile sports fans can look forward to a bumper 2018 on the World of Champions. In exactly 264 days the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Russia and SuperSport will be broadcasting all 32 matches. In amongst the regular content available on SuperSport which includes all tennis and golf majors, local and international football, rugby and cricket, they’ll be the Winter Olympics, Rugby World Cup Sevens, the Commonwealth Games, the FINA World Swimming Championships and the Cycling World Track Championships.
