Hey Godswill! Would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?

Hello Readers, my name is Godswill Moffat and I’m a founder of Spear360 Fit wear, Self-love motivational speaker and a fitness enthusiast in my late 20’s residing in Bangkok, Thailand.

Talk me through an average day in the life of you?

I wake up most of the time at 6am, I say my gratitude prayers, then turn on my computer to listen to some motivational talks, while I make a cup of coffee or green tea for myself

Then after I tidy up my house, and head to the gym. After the gym, I come home to work on my computer and check my social media accounts to stay in touch with friends and family.

What institution(s) did you attend and what did you study?

I graduated from Stamford International University with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Business Administration. (Marketing) to be precise.

When did you desire to leave Nigeria for Thailand?

I left Nigeria on the 13th of February 2010 basically to study in Thailand.

You are also a teacher, what are your area of specialty?

Well, I do not have any area of specialty because that will restrict me from learning new things and exploring new ideas in life, I can teach almost everything, I have thought Business English to adults, English language to High School Students and Science (Biology) and Health Education to the  4th, 5th and 6th graders.

Given your passion for teaching and modelling, how as the experience been so far especially the fact that you are based in Asia?

The experience for me so far is good I must say, it also has a lot to do with your ability to adapt to a new environment, different ideas, perspectives and views from other people. Asia still have a lot to know or understand about other race and people. Thailand to be exact, is deeply rooted in colorism” white is better” syndrome, but I believe with the high penetration of internet and increasing rate of visitors, it will be better.

Tell us more about “Spear360 Sport Apparels” and what made you start the business?

Spear360 Fitwear is a gym or sport wear designed with good quality fabric to give comfort while you are doing a strenuous exercises or training, integrating with style to make you look stylish even when you are exercising or training.

Spear Symbolizes Sharpness and power.

360 signifies open mindedness and the ability to be consistent every time and day.

I decided to start my own brand because it’s always my passion to make people feel confident, happy or love themselves and appreciate who they are, I know I can touch lives by starting my business and being my own boss.

What does it take to start a business in the Thailand?

Well, Thailand is one of the good location for startups, according to https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/entrepreneurship-rankings

Thailand is ranked #37 out of 80 countries in 2018 in Entrepreneurship rankings, so it doesn’t take much.

Will you say your trip to Nigeria in 2018 motivated/inspired to start up “Spear360 Sport Apparels”?

Yea for sure, I visited Nigeria in 2018, to be frank things were still not good for the normal people over there, and I think a lot has to be done to create awareness, educate and motivate people to look beyond their fears and social beliefs and also a proper infrastructure and basic amenities to help the people; that also contributed to why I have to start up, like I said earlier, I  want to inspire young Africans who basically don’t have much to start with or where to start from to achieve their dreams and goals.

With so many Sport Apparel brands/products out there, what sets your brand apart?

Well, there is more than enough for everyone. My brand is solely focused on style and the story behind it.

You are a young entrepreneurial minded guy. How do you balance your personal and professional life?

That is very easy, I just balance them, my personal life is not too different from my professional life.

Change is a beautiful thing, you must evolve, especially with the way the world is constantly evolving. For me, fitness is a lifestyle, we all need it.

I go the gym anywhere from 3 to 4 times a week, depending on my fitness goals, I love mixing things up, for cardio, I do Muay Thai 2 or 3 times a week if am cutting. I spend about an hour and a half to something two hours in the gym.

Not important if you don’t have a purpose or a reason. Social media is 21th century tool to market, inspire, promote and creating awareness, I think social media has made the world become smaller and easier to connect with people all around the world.

It is working very well for me, because I can speak Thai language quite fluently and I know the etiquette to survive here.

My favorite fashion trend is the sport athletic wear, that is becoming more fashionable, it’s just so easy to put on and still look fly with comfort.

Seeing you’re doing your dreams, what advice can you give others to pursue their dreams?

Well, I always stick to this, good things don’t come easy, be it dreams or whatever you want to achieve, you can always get it, but you have to be ready and willing to face down times, you have to take risk, understand the power of NOW, Don’t procrastinate, and get out of your comfort zone, know that you came into this world alone, accept your mistakes and move on.

Be yourself, that’s the most important factor.

Any specific plans for the future?

I want to break into the fashion world and also want to get my offline store in African countries.

Any final words?

Go for your passion, do what you love, and love yourself.
