VIDEO: #BBNaija Lockdown Day 41 – Superhero Saturday Night Party, trouble in paradise, and more…
When it comes to partying on a Saturday night, no one does it better than the Big Brother Naija Lockdown geng!
It’s Saturday night and the feeling was just right for the Saturday Night Party! With the Housemates having had a long week of breakups to makeups, questioning how people vote, emotional stories, fun and games and obviously Tasks, there was just one thing left to do. Party.
Tonight DJ Switch and CDQ were in the building and they did not disappoint! Let’s start at the beginning.
Superheroes in the building
The theme for the night was ‘Superheroes’, so as expected the drop consisted of superhero clothes for the Housemates. As you know with our Housemates, many of them were killing the look tonight.
The DJ Switch set to remember
There is no doubt that DJ Switch killed the set tonight from watching how the Housemates partied hard. She seamlessly tied together music from over the years to create a set mixed with current and reminiscent feelings for one and all. Judging by the applause from tonight the Housemates were completely blown away, with Nengi exclaiming ‘She’s amazing!’
CDQ for the win!
CDQ of course gave a performance fit for the 16 Housemates.
The vibe
We know that the mood on the dancefloor can make or break a party. All the Housemates were in good spirits tonight, from out usual queens in front of the mirror: Erica Vee and Tolanibaj; to the ladies that usually move around the dance floor: Wathoni, Dorathy, Lucy and Nengi. From the guys who usually group together to give us party moments: Neo, Trickytee, Ozo, Prince, Brighto and Laycon; to Kiddwaya who is usually behind the bar making sure the Housemates have all the drinks they need.
There is nothing as good as a god party at the end of the week, and the Lockdown geng get to relax and let loose for a couple of hours to give you their best, week on week. Tell us what you thought about the party.
Trouble in paradise
There are a few ‘ships in the Big Brother Household that are headed towards towards an iceberg, and the question is will they be able to see it in enough time to avoid it?
From many fish in the sea to exotic islands, the ocean is full of many wondrous things… However, the ocean is also full of stormy seas and icebergs. Will our Lockdown ships see the iceberg before it is too late and save their ‘ship from capsizing, or are we destined to see the Titanic?
“Making us look bad” – Neo
Last night after the game of Truth or Dare had left the Housemates in high spirits, Neo and Vee shared a moment that made one wonder if all is well in their ‘ship. All appeared to be well as when Vee announced to Neo: “I love you wholeheartedly, even though you are the most annoying person in the whole world, but I love you anyway because you are going to be my husband and the father to my child…. Most likely.” Upon getting up to leave she stumbled and Neo assisted her in standing up, and then remarked: “You are making me feel bad, or look bad.” As Vee righted herself she apologised then asked him: “Making you look bad, is that what you think?” Neo attempted to placate her by saying: “No, why you making us look bad? I know you’re not drunk.” Vee continued trying to stand up straight as she replied: “I’m actually very drunk and just trying to have composure.” Have Vee and Neo course-corrected from hitting the iceberg ahead by having open and honest communication?
“Can’t you just let it die” – Nengi
Ozo and Nengi could also be headed towards an icy end. The Head of House and the Deputy were in bed about to drift off when Nengi voiced her displeasure with Ozo dragging on about the same point. She pleaded with Ozo to drop it telling him: “I want to sleep, can you just let it die?” Ozo continued trying to hammer his point home, telling her that she was one of his closest friends and that he had emotions attached to their interactions. Ozo wouldn’t relent about his feelings and told Nengi that the Big Brother House would not be enjoyable without her. It seems there is an iceberg ahead for the pair, and the question remains, will they see it in enough time to steer clear of it?
“I’m now bored!” – Erica
After an altercation earlier in the day where Erica expressed her displeasure with the way she and Kiddway have been relating and followed it up with an attempt to make him jealous with Brighto, she still had more unhappiness left to express. Later the same evening Erica’s had another session of disagreement with Kiddwaya as Trikytee and Prince stood around too gobsmacked to intervene. While changing she lamented loudly as she felt that Kiddwaya was “full of himself” and that she felt that Kiddwaya was “probably a spoilt brat.” Kiddwaya was left stunned speechless as she continued with her tirade saying: “I know what I deserve, I’ve accepted a lot of stupid things from him, I don’t have to accept no more… I’m now bored!” This sent Kiddwaya away. Erica was then comforted by Prince and Trikytee before Kiddwaya returned and embraced her as she broke down. As Erica went to bed, Trikytee, Prince, and Kiddwaya moved to the Kitchen table, where they tried to play the role of relationship counsellor to Kiddwaya who was still trying to understand his transgression.
Every relationship comes with its challenges the trick to navigating the treacherous waters is to have your eyes on the horizon so you can see trouble coming. Will our Lockdown ‘ships make it to the sunny shores? Only time will tell.
