L Tip and Taurus The Mind bless their Pitori faithful with a long-awaited offering, Bona Fela. Tip and Taurus are known for their exploits with the OTI (Only The Illest) crew in the streets of the capital, as youngsters. These two bar fiends emerged on the Pitori scene with OTI via the student community of Hatfield. OTI went from hosting cyphers at the Tuks Piazza to packing the Musaion Theatre and subsequently rocking legendary stages in the epicenter such as House 22 and Times 4. This led to Tip killing freestyle comps in Sunnyside and Taurus being crowned winner of the Slaghuis King Of Street Rap – Pretoria leg.

Bona Fela is their first official joint single from their upcoming EP of the same name. This single was a fitting selection, given the fact that it feels very Pitori off the bat. Bona Fela is a trunk rattler with a unique flavour that weirdly feels like it could be played in absolutely any setting. A highly catchy and provocative joint; with a serious, yet playful flow and cadence. And of course, since we dealing with top-tier lyricists here… expect a plethora of “quotables”.
