Picks of the Day: 30th August, 2012

Heading into its mind-bending fourth season, the critically acclaimed Fringe continues to explore otherworldly cases with endless impossibilities. Set in Boston, the FBI’s Fringe Division was introduced when Special Agent Olivia Dunham enlisted institutionalised “fringe” scientist Walter Bishop and his globe-trotting, jack-of-all-trades son, Peter, to help in the investigation of an airline disaster that defied human logic.

As unimaginable events continued to unfold over the first three seasons, the Fringe Division’s investigations often led them to the multifaceted biomedical science, energy and technology corporation Massive Dynamic and its enigmatic chief executive Nina Sharp.

The Fringe Team takes new shape as the impact of Peter’s heroic choice unfolds in the fourth season premiere. Just one week after Peter Bishop saved the day and was then erased from existence, the truce between the two worlds remains intact and the two sides are forced to work together. Lincoln Lee joins the Fringe team as they investigate a shape-shifter case that is very personal to him.
