Me and Mi Kru focuses on a single mother and her son Junior, who live in the ghetto of Sea View Gardens, Kingston. The son and his dancehall music group, Innocent Kru, struggle to promote themselves and move ahead in the Jamaican music industry.
However, luck is on Junior’s side when he plays the lottery, but the cashier punches in the wrong numbers. He ends up winning $250 million and the family move uptown to a mansion in Cherry Gardens. The twist is that they bring Sea View Gardens with them – from goats in the yard and a mongrel dog that breeds the local pedigrees.
