“Oh wow thank you very much, this is amazing,” said funny man in his extremely genuine acceptance speech. “I wouldn’t be standing here without Jesse Tyler Ferguson. There’s no Cam without Mitch.”

What else did the actor have to say in his speech?

Continuing to show the love for his on-screen husband, Stonestreet, 41, spoke to Ferguson, saying, “I’m proud to call you my friend, I love you.” He added jokingly to his fans, “I never knew I’d be playing a gay man on TV, but I love the pictures of the hairy chests you guys are sending me.”

A holler from fellow nominee Sofia Vergara could be heard after Bowen won the the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

The 42-year-old was thankful for her award, saying, “My job really amounts to me falling down and making faces while wearing lipstick and nipple covers. The fact that that could be translated into an award or something artful is really a testament to the people that hired me.” This is the actresses’ second consecutive win in this category.

In addition to the two acting awards, director Steve Levitan also picked up the Oustanding Directing in a Comedy Series trophy for Modern Family.
