MultiChoice’s GOtv Launches in Enugu
Details Nigeria has launched GOtv, a Digital Terrestrial Television that deploys the latest DVB-T2 standard technology, in Enugu, South East Nigeria.
With the DVB-T2 technology, GOtv gives countries a dramatic improvement on the dividend of terrestrial frequencies. It offers subscribers the most advanced technology and broadcast system inAfrica and the rest of world to date, and currently the only digital television pay service on DVB-T2 technology in Nigeria.
Featuring two bouquets, GOtv offers great family entertainment channels and viewers will be able to enjoy selection of local and international channels; a total of 34 channels for GOtv plus and 26 channels for GOtv at an affordable price.
Also, GOtv bouquet is priced at a monthly subscription of N1, 000 while the GOtv Plus goes for N1,500 monthly subscription. The complete system sells for N9,500.
However, as a special introductory offer, we are giving out the GOtv Plus bouquet (which has 34 channels) with the hardware device and three months subscription for only N9,500 only.
At the end of three months, subscribers have the option to continue with GOtv Plus by paying N1,500 monthly or downgrade to GOtv bouquet at a monthly subscription of N1,000.
First launched in Ibadan, South West Nigeria 2011, GOtv offers great family entertainment channels and viewers will be able to enjoy selected local and international channels in the comfort of their homes at an affordable price.

Subscribers to GOtv would have access to news, children’s programming, documentaries, series, sport, and movies. Some of the channels that will be available to GOtv subscribers in Enugu include AfricaMagic Movies, AfricaMagic World, AfricaMagic Yoruba, AfricaMagic Hausa, E! Entertainment, Discovery World, eTV Africa, Select Sports, Al Jazeera, CNN, Channel O, Disney Junior, Kidsco, Islam Channel, One Gospel and Sound City amongst others. Subscribers can also look forward to the introduction of an exciting all-purpose martial arts channel which will be introduced in December 2012.
