Volt season 2 featuring 2face Idibia, Ice Prince, Nneka, M.I premieres 19 February on Channel O

Channel O will again be taking its viewers on a journey Beyond the Music of some of the biggest artists in Africa with the return of the second and much-anticipated season of Volt on DStv.

Volt takes a biographical look at some of the big names in the African music scene and presents them to audiences in a series of documentaries. Topics discussed on the show range from the artist’s musical journeys, achievements, personal and professional struggles in their quest for success, as well as their contributions to the African music industry.

Kicking off this new season is the multiple Channel O Music Video Award winner, singer songwriter 2Face, who shot to international fame with his international hit song African Queen. Get to hear from his family members as well as media personalities how this superstar made it to the top and continues to be a major success.


Other artists who are in the line-up for the new season include Nigeria’s Ice Prince, Nneka, Banky W, M.I, Darey, Ghana’s R2bees and Angola’s Paul G.

Some of the big names who were featured in the last season include Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid, Uganda’s Navio and South Africa’s Liquideep.

The second seasons of Volt premieres on Channel O DStv Channel 320 and on GOtv Channel 22 on Tuesday, 19 February at 8pm WAT. The show will be re-broadcast on weekdays at 10:30am WAT and on Sundays at 7:30pm WAT.
