DStv initially gave the Oscars to Compact viewers and now they’ve been ripped away. The 85th Academy Awards are coming up this weekend and were going to be rebroadcast on M-Net Movies Stars but not anymore.

The awards are airing live on M-Net Movies Premiere in the early hours of Monday morning (25 February 2013) and will be rebroadcast on M-Net and M-Net Movies Premiere on Monday and Tuesday night respectively.

The ceremony was also going to be rebroadcast on M-Net Movies Stars the Saturday afterwards – on 2 March at 5pm – but the broadcast has been dropped days before the event with no explanation.
