Another riveting season of Formula 1 is on the cards when the 2013 season kicks-off with the Australian Grand Prix this weekend. SuperSport will be broadcasting the action live from the Albert Park Circuit on Sunday, 17 March at 6:30am WAT on SS1/SS1HD.

Last season, Sebastian Vettel stormed to his third consecutive title and the Red Bull driver will be gunning for a fourth championship in 2013.

Lewis Hamilton partners with Nico Rosberg as part of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team after signing a three-year contract. The duo will be looking to improve on last season’s fourth-place finish.

Sergio Pérez replaces Hamilton at McLaren. Dubbed “The Mexican Wunderkind”, the 23 year-old will be eager to impress in the new season. McLaren will be hoping his partnership with the 2009 champion Jenson Button pays dividends.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso finished agonisingly close behind Vettel last season; a mere three points separated the two drivers. This year, fans can once again look forward to a fierce battle.

Who will take pole position in Australia? well, the battle for number one begins on Sunday, 17 March at 6:30am WAT on SuperSport 1/SS1HD .
