PICK OF THE DAY: Eddie Murphy One Night Only Special – Comedy Central at 7:05pm WAT

Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx, Adam Sandler and Russell Brand are among the throng of comedy nerds turned superstars who came out to pay homage at the first-ever televised tribute to comedic superstar Eddie Murphy.

The celebrity lineup features many of Murphy’s friends, peers and co-stars including Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx, Adam Sandler, Samuel L Jackson, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Arsenio Hall, Nick Nolte, Brett Ratner, Charlie Murphy, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Martin Lawrence. In addition, The Roots perform throughout the evening as the show’s house band.

The exclusive event, produced in conjunction with internationally acclaimed producer and director Don Mischer, includes short films, musical performances, sketch comedy and culminates in an appearance by Murphy.
