PICK OF THE DAY: Doctor Who S7, Part 2 – BBC Entertainment at 6pm (WAT)

The second part of Series 7 of Doctor Who offers a further eight big, blockbuster movie episodes – each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you’ve never seen them before.

Each spectacular episode will be broadcast just 24-hours after the episode’s world premiere in the UK.

The first episode is written by the show’s lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, and is directed by Colm McCarthy whose previous credits include Hustle and Spooks. Later adventures in the run include episodes written by Mark Gatiss (Victory of the Daleks, Night Terrors) and acclaimed author Neil Gaiman.

This season will see the Doctor and his plucky new companion Clara taking to the TARDIS to meet some familiar friends…… and foes.
