EnergyNet has announces its media partnership with Bloomberg TV Africa for its Africa Energy forum events in Barcelona 2013 and Istanbul 2014. This two –year partnership will promote power sector development through the ‘Africa Energy Forum’ and Bloomberg TV Africa’s ‘Africa Energy Report’. The events will see stakeholders discussing the challenges the power sector faces and the opportunities for the wider economies of Africa as a direct result of implemented power projects.

The ‘Africa Energy Report’ programme hosted by Boason Omofaye will follow the global agenda for transforming Africa’s energy sector, the power-plays and the powers-at-play.

Bloomberg TV Africa launches this summer with a dedicated four-hour block of programming for Africa. It follows the signing of a multi-year rolling partnership agreement with Nigeria-based content provider, Optima Media Group.

Programmes will be produced in Lagos and London with bureaus in Johannesburg and Nairobi. There will be a team of dedicated Bloomberg TV Africa presenters, reporters and producers covering various sectors, commodities and exchanges across the continent, providing insight into the expanding economies of Africa with its traditional focus on growth markets and business opportunities.

Bloomberg TV Africa commented, “We’re pleased for this partnership as it adds significant value in enabling the attainment of our energy sector-focused objectives”.

“We’re delighted to be working with Bloomberg TV Africa. To be able to provide policy makers and long standing partners who have revolutionised Africa’s industrial sectors a voice in over 28 million business homes is extremely exciting, and will directly promote the opportunities being created for growth industries.” says Simon Gosling of EnergyNet Ltd.

EnergyNet’s global portfolio of Africa power sector events are designed to engage the decision makers and technical directors behind Africa’s most exciting economies. The Africa Energy Forum takes place this year in Barcelona from 18-20 June.
