On Sunday 15 September, Nigerian league football will be able to boast of being on par with the best in the world like the Uefa Champions League, Barclays Premier League and Spanish La Liga as DStv’s SuperSport produces and broadcasts the 2013 Federations Cup final in the splendor of High Definition (HD).

HD broadcasting has since become the television standard globally and SuperSport is ensuring that Nigerian domestic football is not left behind as Warri Wolves face-off with Enyimba in the crystal clear images, crisp audio and surround sound capabilities of HD.

SuperSport General Manager for West Africa operations, Felix Awogu, expressed excitement with the development. “It’s a historic development considering SuperSport’s investment in Nigerian football and an indication of our commitment to provide viewers with the best available content on the best available platform. We’re ready to give Nigerians a unique experience,” he said.

Sunday’s matchup is a first between the Premier League’s pace-setters at this stage of the tournament.
At stake for the victors is not only the winner title but also a chance to represent Nigeria at continental level.
