Fantastic festive fun for kids this December on DStv

Kids, you’ve worked hard at school and now’s the time to treat yourself to some fantastic festive fun! DStv’s got everything you need to kick back, relax and get into the holiday spirit.


So check out these shows, plus a whole host of cool kids’ programming on DStv Catch Up.

If you’re a Ben 10: Omniverse fan we’re about to brighten your day. On Monday 2 December at 17:00 you can catch brand new episodes of your favourite alien fighter and defender of the Omniverse – only on Cartoon Network.

Pre-schoolers are inquisitive and perpetually learning, so when they’re home for the holidays, why not treat them to the CBeebies special, Sarah and Duck? This whimsical show is delightful for parents and educational for kids. On Sunday 15 December, tiny tots can watch back-to-back episodes of Sarah and Duck from 9:25 on CBeebies. 

Take some time out from getting tangled in the tinsel to tune in to triple the fun with Marvel Universe on Tuesday 17 December from 19:05. The incredibly cool thing about Marvel Universe is that from 19:05 every Tuesday you can watch brand new episodes of three of your favourite superheroes back-to-back!

The block kicks off with everyone’s favourite webslinger, Ultimate Spider-Man. Then you can watch Marvel Avengers Assemble and as if that isn’t enough action-packed adventure for one night Marvel Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. take over your TV screen. So celebrate the holidays with triple the action on Disney XD.

Disney Junior has all the little ladies in the house covered. From 10:00 on Monday 16 December, little princesses can tune in to watch, Sofia the First being kind and courteous to her royal court. All the forest animals love her and they often help her figure out the best way to deal with everyday problems.

On Saturday 21 December at 10:40, kids can watch the animated adventure, Abominable Christmas on the Disney Channel. Let the festive feeling fill you up with this wonderful tale of how snowkids who have been chased out of their mountain homes learn to live with their most feared animals… humans.

The holidays are a time to unwind and get a little zany, so who better to celebrate with thanBugs Bunny and the Looney TunesOn Tuesday 31 December at 17:30 the animated feature length film, Bugs Bunny: 1001 Rabbit Tales is on Boomerang.

Kids can catch Bugs and Daffy as they go their separate ways to sell books. Bugs bumps into Sultan Sam deep in the desert and he wants someone to read to his spoilt son. When the Sultan’s son insults Bugs, who in turn refuses to read to him, Sam then threatens to boil Bugs in oil!

Will he be able to get back to Daffy and all the other Looney Tunes? Tune in to find out.
