Happy New Year, everyone!

We hope 2014 is a happy, healthy and prosperous one for you.

This year includes plenty of new and returning programmes and big events including the FIFA World Cup, Winter Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Nigeria centenary celebrations.

We will also see the launch of new pay TV platforms: Consat and StarSat, launch of BoxOffice by DStv from Q1.

Barbara Walters will retire, Jackie Woodburne and Alan Fletcher celebrate 20 years on Neighbours, we’ll see 24, Puberty Blues and Spicks and Specks return, Jimmy Fallon replaces Jay Leno, there’s a Monty Python reunion, a Sharknado sequel, a Spooks movie begins shooting, and the US version of Rake.

This month is also Awards time with Golden Globes, ahead of the Oscars, Grammys.

And once again, talkmedia Nigeria will endeavour to keep you entertained and informed throughout.
