BACK WITH A BANG! NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 4 IS HERE
After an electrifying 3rd season that saw the crowning of super-talented Moses Adigwe as the winner, the global music phenomenon, Nigerian Idol is set to roll on TV screens nationwide for a 4th season!
Nigerian Idol, the biggest music show across Africa is set to storm different cities in search of Nigeria’s biggest but undiscovered, brilliant and outstanding singers.
While rave-of-the-moment VJ, Ill Rhymz returns this season as host, a co-host will be announced at a later date. However, the cycle of the show remain the same, spanning five months of tough drillings, surprise evictions, grueling rehearsals and awesome performances.
According to Rotimi Pedro, C.E.O Optima Media Group, “the 4th season of Nigerian Idol will be an even more exciting television experience. The last three seasons of the show garnered more viewership, especially with the youth demographic, than any other music reality show – reemphasizing the power of the Idol brand across the globe.”
“As the World’s no 1 TV show, we are committed to ensuring that the standards from the past three seasons – in terms of content, production and interactivity are surpassed with Season 4. This is Idol – it’s the real deal.” He continued.
With Nigerian Idol this season, everyone is a winner as sponsor Etisalat together with other sponsors will give premium prizes not just to the winner, but also to the runners-up and others from the Top Ten.
The grand prize is N7.5 million, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry, an iPod and a brand new SUV car. The first runner up gets N1.5 million, a Galaxy Tab, Blackberry and iPod; and the 2nd runner up will receive N1million, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry and an iPod.
In addition, each of the finalists from 4th to 10th place will also receive N100, 000, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry and an iPod.
The new season will kick off in January, 2014 with auditions in 5 cities in search of who joins Moses Adigwe , Timi Dakolo, Yeka Onka and Mercy Chinwo in the league of Idol’s winners.
