Football fans have witnessed the best football action the African continent has to offer in the form of the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The tournament draws to a breathtaking conclusion in the final between Ghana and Libya on Saturday 1 February, which will see new champions crowned at the Cape Town Stadium.

Ghana managed to defy the odds in their semifinal match against West African rivals Nigeria, defeating the much-fancied Super Eagles 4-1 on penalties. Libya also found Zimbabawe a tough nut to crack, before the Mediterranean Knights, booked their place to the final after a 5-4 penalty shootout win.

In the world of European football, a colossal Serie A showdown is on the cards on Sunday 2 February, when defending champions and current log leaders Juventus host Inter Milan at Juventus Stadium. The home side has lost only one game in the season and remains the team to beat in the league.

The Barclays Premier League will show why it is regarded as one of world’s elite domestic league with must see matches this weekend. On Saturday 1 February, Manchester United makes a trip to Stoke-on-Trent for a showdown with Stoke City, eager to pick up where they left off after their mid-week 2-0 win against Cardiff City.

After dismantling Everton 4-0 in their last league match, Liverpool look to continue on the winning trail against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday 2 February. Arsenal return home to the Emirates Stadium for their match against Crystal Palace.

And the NBA continues on your World of Champions with matches between the Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Boston Celtics will also be in action against the Orlando Magic in the prime-time slot on Sunday.
