When all the odds are stacked against someone and the dream looks impossible, that is when legends are born. In the 1940s, a team executive makes an unprecedented move and hires the first black player in Major League baseball. As they both expect, there’s a huge backlash both on and off the field and the young player struggles to endure the abuse. He finds help though in a few unexpected allies.
