Meet the cast of Dowry, EbonyLife TV’s new drama series premiering Saturday 31 May
EbonyLife TV is bringing you a new drama Dowry centered around two feuding families which are being forced to an uneasy truce by the impending marriage of their children.
It doesn’t help either that the groom disappears five hours before the wedding leaving confusion and doubt.
Dowry will start on Saturday 31 May at 9:30 WAT on EbonyLife TV.
This amazing series by renowned filmmaker Victor Sanchez Agahowa features some heavy actors as well. Check out some of the leading cast members below.
Deyemi Okanlawon stars as the groom named Demola.
Demola is a happy-go-lucky man whoo is confident and a true boys boy. You’ve probably seen him in the movie Lagos Lying Game, Iredu and Gidi Up amongst others.
AMVCA winner OC Ukeje plays Marcus. Marcus is a player and goes by his own rules. He’s the groom’s bestfriend and also the best man. You’ve seen him in Alan Poza, Confusion Na Wa, Awakening, Half of Yellow Sun and Hoodrush amongst others.
The groom’s mom Jadesola is played by Iretiola Doyle. Jadesola is enigmatic, elegant and also multifaceted. Iretiola has appeared on AfricaMagic Entertainments Tinsel, she had her own fashion and lifestyle show Oge with Iretiola and has been nominated for several awards for her roles in Sitanda and Across the Niger.
Linda Ejiofor is the bride’s bff, Nike. Nike is a bully and people are scared of her. Linda is best known for her role in Tinsel and has also appeared in The Meeting and Secret Room.
Chris Okagbue plays one of the groom’s men J.J. He is playful and doesn’t take life too seriously. Chris is the winner of Gulder Ultimate Search season 8 and also models.
