We get the ball rolling with action from Wimbledon when SuperSport airs the men’s semi-final matches at centre court on Friday, 4 July

The quarterfinals of the 2014 Fifa World Cup get underway as France squares off against Germany at Estadio do Maracanã. Both sides displayed great composure to reach the final eight of the tournament and the game will provide plenty of excitement among the fans.

In the second quarterfinal, we see another nail-biting football exhibition when Brazil looks to topple Colombia at Castelão. The Coffeers disposed of Uruguay with a convincing 2-0 win and should not be taken lightly by the host nation.

Saturday, 4 July, sees the beginning of the epic journey when the much anticipated 101st instalment of the Tour de France entertains cycling devotees. The riders will be looking for a good start when they battle the 191km-long stanza of the race. We will also return to Wimbledon for the Ladies’ final where we will crown a new champion.

A confident Argentine side will relish their chances of progressing to the semifinals of the 2014 Fifa World Cup when they face Belgium at Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha. Netherlands and Costa Rica will feature in the last quarterfinal match at the Arena Fonte Nova.

The IAAF Diamond League continues when the spotlight falls on the Meeting Areva track and field taking place the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. In the absence of Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, countryman Asaf Powell will be in the spotlight in the 100m dash.

In the 1500m women’s race, all eyes will be on Kenyan Hellen Obiri as she continues her fierce battle with Abeba Aregawi from Sweden.

The British Grand Prix taking place at the Silverstone Circuit also makes a welcomed return to your World Champions. Mercedes GP driver Nico Rosberg will be hoping to increase his lead at the top of the driver standings.
