TRACE SPORT STARS BEAMS INTO TO THE UNITED STATES WITH DISH NETWORK

TRACE Sport Stars, the number 1 sports entertainment channel, is celebrating further global expansion, as it announces today its first carriage deal in the United States of America with DISH Network. 

The channel will launch in summer 2014 in DISH’s International Basic Package for satellite subscribers. It will later be made available as part of the sports pack on DISH’s over-the-top (OTT) platform, DishWorld.

“The addition of TRACE Sport Stars to our international lineup further expands the variety of content we offer for young, multicultural viewers,” said Izabela Slowikowska, director of programming, DISH.  “By including TRACE Sport Stars in both our satellite and DishWorld OTT packages, we are able to reach an even more diverse set of subscribers.”

The new deal with DISH continues the rapid global expansion of TRACE Sport Stars since launching just two years ago. In that short time, the channel has signed successful carriage deals with some of the world’s leading TV operators. The first channel exclusively dedicated to sports celebrities is now available in more than 100 countries.

The deal also sees the renewal of TRACE Urban, the leading international urban music channel originally launched in 2005 on Dish Network. The channel will be made available for a further 5 years via DISH’s International Basic Package for satellite subscribers and as part of the English International TV pack on DISH’s over-the-top (OTT) platform, DishWorld.
