Jimi Owobowale Ogunlaja aka Jimi, born December 9th, 1983 in Iperu Remo in Ogun state, Nigeria. Jimi is a Nigerian model based in Cape Town, South Africa and has been passionate about his profession since his early childhood.

EDUCATION:
Jimi is a Computer Science graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State-Nigeria and recently finished a course on Television Presentation and Vocal Training for Radio at the City Varsity, Cape Town, South Africa.

Jimi now currently signed to Base Model Agency – Cape Town in South Africa, was discovered in Lagos in 2003 by a friend (Bose Efunuga) with Thanx Modeling Agency who was aware of his undying passion for modeling.

He also featured in the first season of the popular M-Net TV series, TINSEL were he acted as OLA (Waiter), before moving to Johannesburg, South Africa in 2008. Since then Jimi has been fortunate with best of modeling experiences enough to last a lifetime.

Jimi has modeled for the leading fashion designers across Africa.

Jimi recently launched his new catwalk academy now called Jimisterio Catwalk Academy. An institution designed to transfer his acquired and vast knowledge onto aspiring models and he intends to bring these to life on television in the nearest future.

Jimi’s Jimisterio Catwalk Academy arms to use it as a workshop designed to transfer the trends and style of the fashion industry to the models, enabling the models identify ans maximize their potentials and teaches models how to walk the walk on the catwalk.
