Africa Health Television debuts in Nigeria
Africa Health Television (AHT), has made its debut in Nigeria as Africa’s first 24-hour health television channel and will be available on pay-TV platforms, StarTimes, GoTV and DaarSat.
“We have noticed over the years, as medical practitioners, that there exists a gap between the knowledge people should have concerning their health and what they actually have and this gap is reduced to wrong decision making,” said Dr Chris Itabor, chairman of AHT. “So AHTV seeks to bring information about health to their door step, not only in Nigeria but also in Africa.”
AHT aims at providing advance positive health and social outcomes by reaching some of ‘society’s most vulnerable populations’. The content of the channel will be constantly reviewed by a medical editorial board panel of physicians, nutritionists, dieticians and fitness experts.
