MultiChoice Nigeria Shines in 2014 MarketingWorld Awards

MultiChoice Nigeria on Friday 7 November emerged winner in “The Pay-TV Brand of the Year” and “The Best Company in Customer Care” categories at the 2014 MarketingWorld Awards. The awards proved that MultiChoice remains the leading pay-TV service provider in Nigeria even amidst increased competition.

The MarketingWorld Awards (MWA) is organised to celebrate the excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry by rewarding outstanding performance across the integrated marketing communication industry. This year’s event also sought to recognise the exceptional work of marketing champions over the last one year.

DStv contended against other brands in the broadcast media industry to win the Pay-TV Brand of the Year award, while GOtv, which had been pitched against long-standing brands such as; GTBank, StanbicIBTC and Zenith Bank claimed the award.

Speaking on the awards entitled; “Celebrating brands that work passionately and timelessly, MultiChoice’s General Manager Marketing, Martin Mabutho thanked the organisers of the MarketingWorld Awards for the recognition.

“I would like to dedicate these awards to the untiring staff of MultiChoice who work behind the scene to ensure that DStv and GOtv subscribers enjoy the quality programming which we offer. I also thank our subscribers for their loyalty through the years”, he added.

The MWA which commenced in 2011 focuses solely on the business benefits of strong marketing strategies. This prestigious award which also attracted the biggest players in various sectors of the economy had over 30 categories.
