Nothing is what it seems to be in the Impostor, a story of deception and secrets on Telemundo
This February, Telemundo (DStv channel 118 and GOtv) will launch The Impostor, the first title from the channel’s exciting 2015 programming slate that has already proven to be a notable hit with audiences in the US. Premiering on 23rd February at 5pm WAT, this telenovela will bring a tale of eternal love challenged by family secrets, betrayal and deception.
The Impostor stars Lisette Morelos (Aurora) as Blanca Guerrero, an attractive waitress in a Mexican resort town who has an extraordinary talent to mimic other people. A rich businessman Adriano Ferrer (Manuel Landeta – Fearless Heart) spots her talent and hires her to impersonate a millionaire investor from New York to avenge the death of someone close to him. Blanca accepts the challenge, not knowing that a lie will lead her to true love.
Shot on location in Mexico, including the spectacular beaches of Acapulco, the telenovela also stars a Telemundo newcomer Sebastian Zurita as the male lead with his real-life mother Christian Bach playing the main antagonist.
The story begins when Blanca’s father Memo Guerrero is unjustly fired from the Altamira family company. He is privy to a secret of the Altamira family that they are determined to hide at all costs while Adriano Ferrer embarks on a mission to uncover it with the help of Blanca as the impostor. With Blanca’s real identity hidden and a romantic relationship emerging between her and Eduardo Altamira, will this dramatic story of deception, love and revenge come to a happy ending?
The Impostor airs every weekday at 5pm WAT from 23rd February, only on Telemundo (DStv channel 118 and GOtv).
