#MCM: Empire’s Lyon brothers

Starring Academy Award-nominees Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard as Cookie andLucious Lyon, Empire takes place in the music industry.

This exciting new series has already been renewed for a second season and has Grammy Award-winning producer Timbaland hard at work, writing original songs for the series.

In Empire, tough-as-nails Cookie takes on her ex-husband Lucious as she goes after what’s rightfully hers – a stake in his company, Empire Enterprises. And at the heart of the fight are their three sons, who happen to be our Man Crush Monday heartthrobs.

Bryshere Y. Gray portrays Hakeem Lyon

Bryshere is a rap artist, whose stage name is Yazz The Greatest. He’s performed at several music festivals in the US, and was even an opening act for 2Chainz.

After getting a glimpse of him in Empire: First Look, we know he’s going to be one our favourite characters. And with that twinkle in his eyes, he looks like someone who could get up to a lot of mischief.

Jussie Smollett portrays Jamal Lyon

We instantly fell in love with Jussie during FOX’s Empire: First Look – he seems like such a great guy!

And like his TV brother Bryshere, Jussie is also an artist. He released an EP, The Poisoned Hearts Club – we can’t wait to hear him perform the original songs written for Empire.

Trai Byers portrays Andre Lyon

Trai looks so snazzy in a suit! And we’re sure as CFO in Empire, he’s gonna impress us all the time with his fashion choices. We can’t wait!
