Apple Announces All-New Redesigned Macbook
Apple at its March event on Monday, unveiled a major new refresh for the MacBook.
The new MacBook weighs in at two pounds and is 24 percent thinner than the current MacBook Air, featuring a 12-inch Retina display at 2304×1440. It starts with 256GB of storage.
It features an all-new keyboard that uses a new keyboard design using a “butterfly mechanism” that Apple claims offers a better typing experience.
The new MacBook has a taptic-engine built into the trackpad so it can provide tactic feedback as you use it. You can use force-click (by using harder pressure on the trackpad) to trigger actions on your MacBook.
The new MacBook also has no fans and uses a Intel Core M processor. The company has shrunk the logic board significantly in the new device.
The new MacBook only has two ports: a USB type-C connector for charging and connecting to devices and a headphone port. The USB type-C connector supports USB, VGA, power and HDMI.
The new MacBook will start shipping on April 10 from $1,299.
