Mozilla launches a private browser for iOS called Firefox Focus.
Mozilla has launched Firefox Focus, a free private browser for iOS.
The app is designed to offer simple, private browsing for when you don’t want to leave a record on your phone.
“You may be looking for information that in certain situations is sensitive – searches for engagement rings, for example,” said Mozilla.
“And sometimes you just want a super-simple, super-fast Web experience – no tabs, no menus, no pop-ups.”
By default, Firefox Focus is configured to block many of the trackers that follow you around the web.
“When you occasionally see a site that doesn’t work because it is dependent on tracking, Firefox Focus makes it easy to open your current site in either Firefox or Safari.”
Firefox Focus is available from the App Store. It will also continue to operate as a Safari content blocker on iOS.
Mozilla said users can take advantage of Tracking Protection on Safari and Firefox Focus.
