Hotels.ng launches Spots.ng a platform listing points of interests and attractions in Nigeria
Hotels.ng, Nigeria’s leading hotel booking company just launched spots.ng. Spots.ng suggests interesting spots and fascinating tourist attractions in Nigeria to users based on their preferred travel location while providing information such as directions, a list of discounted and nearby hotels, safety ratings, and reviews.
Mark Essien, the company’s CEO described spots.ng as a breakthrough and a first in the Nigerian hospitality sector. In his words “Spots.ng is our attempt to map out all tourist locations in Nigeria. We are on a mission to open up Africa to travel and show all the beautiful places in the continent that can be travelled to. Spots.ng ties in to that – now people can finally see and choose from all the fascinating locations that Nigeria has to offer.”
Spots.ng, a product partly born out of hotels.ng’s community development inspired Remote Internship Programme is not only novel and delivering support services in a simple and effective way, it leverages on its parent company hotels.ng to provide hotels throughout Nigeria at a discounted rate while opening Nigeria and Africa to the world.
It also puts the users in charge, giving them a platform to fully map out their desired travel experience, enjoy more local spots and experience the culture, air, and people of their chosen location as the platform provides over 3285 locations, many of which before now were barely accessible to the public.
Mark Essien has announced that in the coming weeks, more features and curated spots shall be added to the platform in a move aimed at creating a maximum user experience.
With a lot of discussions and efforts on diversifying the Nigerian economy and boosting tourism, I think spot.ng is properly positioned to help with that goal. Fun seekers and adventure-lovers would definitely be glad with this development.
