MULTICHOICE NIGERIA REVEALS NEW TV CHANNEL, LUMEN CHRISTI

MultiChoice Nigeria, the African pay-TV operator is bringing a new channel on its platform, in the name of Lumen Christi. The latter is a catholic TV channel and will be available on channel 350.

It is a satellite television which airs free to air content involving programmes produced by numerous Parishes from different parts of Nigeria and other African countries. Programmes will be broadcasted in English with subtitles in French, Spanish and later with occasional subtitles in Portuguese, Swahili and Pidgin English.

The channel is more of a family channel that particularly focuses on the principles and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. Programmes will basically revolve around faith, teachings by priest and scholars. Alongside musicals, dramas, documentaries, videos and in-house news segment will be available.

According to John Ugbe, the managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, the additional channel will help diversify the content range of the network. Subscribers on Premium, Compact Plus, Access, Compact and Family, will be able to have access to the channel.
