Awesome Athletics Action on Kwesé TV

Catch the IAAF World Championships, 4-13 August, and the IAAF World U18 Championships (12-16 July) LIVE on Kwesé Sports.

Over the next month tune into Kwesé Sports to watch Africa’s athletics stars in action. Get Kwesé TV to catch the likes of Kenya’s Kipruto, Kiprotich and Obiri; Ethiopia’s Ayana and Bekele; and South Africa’s van Niekerk and Manyonga LIVE in action at the IAAF World Championships.

The World Championships are held every two years, and this will be the 16th event of its kind. The 15th event (Beijing 2015) produced a rather interesting medals table. Kenya came out tops in the medal standings, with seven golds, six silvers and three bronzes. And, Jamaica was second with seven golds two silvers and three bronzes. The USA managed third place, Great Britain fourth, with another African country – Ethiopia  – coming in at fifth.

With Africa the envy of the word in terms of raw athletic talent, it’s time that African cities were given the opportunity to host major athletics events. This is indeed happening with Kenya hosting the IAAF World U18 Championships, 12-16 July, at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi. You can catch this event LIVE on Kwesé Sports. As it turns out this is the last time this particular event is being held, with the IAAF’s decision to channel resources for continental tournaments, instead of a world one, in the youth age group.

Warm up for some great athletics action with the IAAF World U18 Championships (12-16 July on Kwesé Sports 2) and then don’t miss the big one – the World Championships in Athletics –  LIVE on Kwesé Sports, 4-13 August.
