VIDEO: The Voice Nigeria Season 2 – More electrifying performances on the 3rd live show

Round three of the live show of The Voice Nigeria aired on Sunday the 10th of September 2017, for eagerly anticipating viewers and followers of the music reality show. The show stepped up a notch with intensified performances among contestants that saw four contestants saved by viewers from last week’s live show going to the next round.

The viewer’s favorites from last week show were; #TeamPatoranking saw viewers at home vote for Ebube, while Syemca was picked for #TeamYemiAlade. J’dess was the top pick for #TeamWaje, and Idyl returned for #TeamTimi.

The live shows involve four members of each team performing, with the coach choosing to save one contestant and the three remaining contestants put up for public voting. One lucky contestant who amasses the most votes ends up progressing to the next round.  This is the last episode the coached will get to pick their preferred contestants.

#TeamTimi kicked off the show as the contestants took to the stage one after another. Bada performed Michael Bolton’s To Love Somebody, whilst Idyl sang Shape of You by Ed Sheeran. Precious performed Djinee’s Ego and finally on #TeamTimi Jahtell sang Jennifer Hudson’s And I’m telling you. Timi chose Jahtell.

Up next was #TeamPatoranking with Afolayan who performed Don’t You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia. Hightee sang Iba by Asa, while Yimika performs John Legend’s You and I. Ebube followed with The Hills by The Weeknd. Patoranking picked Ebube.

Following this string of amazing performances was #TeamYemiAlade with Chris Rio kicking off with Mali Musics Beautiful. Ifeoma gave a powerful performance of Celine Dion’s I’m Alive while Wilson sang Wizkid’s Joy and finally Syemca gave a lovely rendition with his performance of Robyn’s Dancing on my own. Syemca was saved by Yemi Alade.

To end this this episode #TeamWaje started out with Wow who sang Sisqo’s Incomplete, while J’dess performed Rihanna’s Love on the brain. Next up was Shapera who sang Whitney Houston’s I wanna dance with somebody and finally Glowrie performed Diana Ross’s He lives in me. J’dess was saved by Waje.

Public voting opened immediately after Sunday’s show and closes on Thursday, the 14th of September, 2017. To vote for your favorite contestant, simply send their respective sms numbers to 32052.
