‘Mexico is Still Open For Business’ – Mexico Tourism Board

Even with the recent earthquake that rocked central Mexico, the country is still open for business.

According to a short statement released by the Mexico Tourism Board, both international airports in Mexico City and Puebla are fully operational and attractions in Puebla, Morelos and Mexico City are open and ready to receive visitors, despite damages being reported.

Travellers in the affected areas are receiving the utmost support from the Mexico Tourism Board and the tourism industry to ensure they have any assistance needed while continuing with their existing travel plans.

“The sympathies of the Mexico Tourism Board and the entire Mexican tourism industry, go out to those affected by the earthquake in Central Mexico on September 19, 2017,” the tourism board said in a statement. “Mexico’s Federal, State and Local Governments have activated response plans in order to support the individuals impacted as well as to assess damages.”

International tourists who have plans to visit Mexico are urged to keep their vacations on the calendar. The earthquake affected no other major international tourism destination in the country and all continue to offer the prime accommodations, high level of service and excellent attractions that have made this country one of the most visited in the world.
