Ugandan artist, Radio dies after brain surgery

Ugandan musician, Moses Ssekibogo aka Radio has passed after undergoing emergency brain surgery.

According to a press statement released by his team, Radio had been hospitalised after he was assaulted while exiting a bar following a confrontation.

The assault led to a significant brain injury that required urgent surgery.

The surgery took place on January 23, and the press release had said he was stable and alive.

It was revealed that the Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni donated $8,300 towards his medical bills.

Another press statement was however released on Thursday revealing Radio had passed. He was said to have passed 6am on Thursday, with a vigil to hold at 7pm.

A mass will be said in his honour on Friday by 2pm at the Rubaga Cathedral Church. His body will also be on view at the Ugandan National Theatre at 4pm on Friday.
