"STAR" SPONSORS THE FIRST AFROBEATS FESTIVAL

Londoners this week experienced one of the most horrific riots seen in the last twenty years where a few minorities decided to senselessly go on a looting spree around London, Manchester and Birmingham destroying businesses and homes.

London, one of the greatest cities in the world is gravitating towards normality post looting and arson attacks. This is testament to the chivalry and community spirit that many Londoners display.Many have speculated on how this will affect upcoming events in the Capital- The answer: It won’t. London is playing host to one of the biggest African event to date; the 2011 Afrobeats Festival, taking place at the HMV Apollo.

On Sunday 28th August 2011 an expected audience of over 5000 Afrobeats and Comedy lovers will head towards the world famous HMV Hammersmith Apollo that has played host to iconic talents such as The Beatles, Adele, Tinie Tempah, Katy Perry and many more.

With a line-up that features the very best in African Music and Comedy; headlining the 1st ever Afrobeats Festival will be Award winning Afro Pop sensations _P SQUARE,WIZKID |+|AMP|+| ICE PRINCE |+|AMP|+| SUPERSTAR COMEDIAN BASKET MOUTH_. With support from in the line-up of; JJC, BIG BOYZ ALL STARS_, DL, MAY7VEN, DON’T JEALOUS ME, ELENU, |+|AMP|+| TUNDE EDNUT _plus many more, Hosted by Choice FM DJ Abrantee.

The organisers can confirm Nigeria’s No1 Lager brand; STAR LAGER have joined the party bringing a good share of the _’Brighter Life’ _to Londoners after one of the city’s most intense and challenging weeks. STAR LAGER joining hands with WESTERN UNION, VECTONE MOBILE AND TOPUPNIGERIA.COM has ensured that the Afrobeats Festival has now become an all-round community affair for London and Londoners alike through entertainment.
