Nickelodeon Africa Announces Debut Plans For Brand New Animated Original Series “The Legend Of Korra”

Nickelodeon Africa has announced on the “Nick Highlights” page on their official Facebook profile page Nickelodeon Africa’s premiere plans for the brand new animated original Nickelodeon series “The Legend Of Korra”.

According to Nick Africa, to lead up to and celebrate Nickelodeon Africa starting to show the brand new animated Nickelodeon show “The Legend Of Korra”, Nickelodeon Africa will host a special “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (also known as “Avatar: The Legend of Aang”) marathon weekend over Saturday 25th August 2012 and Sunday 26th August 2012 which will feature every episode from the popular animated original Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, then, straight after Nick Africa’s “Avatar” marathon on 26/8/2012, Nickelodeon Africa will show a special sneak peek preview of “The Legend Of Korra”!

After Nickelodeon Africa shows the special sneak peek preview of “The Legend Of Korra” on Sunday 26th August 2012, Nickelodeon Africa will then fully premiere Nickelodeon’s brand new animated original Nickelodeon series (Nicktoon) “The Legend Of Korra” on Saturday 1st September 2012, where Nick Africa will be showing brand new episodes of “Legend of Korra” every weekend at 9:25am and 5:00pm WAT!:

AVATAR: The Last Airbender

Avatar weekend Saturday 25th of August and Sunday 26th of August from 7:45am WAT. The whole weekend with all Avatar episodes. We are sure that you remember Avatar, but just as a reminder… Water. Legend of Korra

Every weekend at 9:25am and 5:00pm WAT starting from Saturday 1st of September Republic City is everything that Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko fought for when they ended the Hundred Year War. With balance restored to the four nations, benders and non-benders can live together in peace, in this thriving metropolitan area. But even the steampunk paradise of Republic City has its problems, as the next Avatar discovers. When Avatar Korra arrives in Republic City to master her airbending, she comes face to face with criminal bending gangs as well as members of a vocal anti-bending revolution. Before long, Korra’s Avatar skills are put to the test when she encounters a group of Chi-blockers led by the charismatic and mysterious Amon, who threatens the city and all the benders in it. Despite the immense danger, Korra vows to fight the growing anti-bending revolution. But will she be able to stop Amon before he rises to power and makes his vision of a bending-free world a reality?
